Location Information

This location faces north overlooking a sandhills valley that includes the ranch headquarters of the University of Nebraska's Gudmundsen Ranch, a research station and laboratory located north of Whitman, Nebraska. The camera captures activities of a working ranch from haying to grazing, periodic rises in the water table on the valley floor, and movement of weather systems. The camera is contained within a fenced enclosure that also includes a remote weather station.
