Little Salt Creek

RIP – Lost to the river.
May 10, 2012 – May 5, 2015

Salt Creek and it’s tributaries drain roughly 1,600 square miles of land area, including the city of Lincoln Nebraska. Located just north of town, high in the Salt Creek drainage, this camera looks at Little Salt Creek which drains Shoemaker Marsh and Arbor Lake, sending water to Salt Creek Proper and eventually to the Platte River near Ashland. Salt Creek is also home to the endangered Salt Creek tiger beetle. Due to high waters in the spring of 2015, we lost the camera to the river.
