COVID-19 has changed the way people do everything. Going grocery shopping is not a lax activity anymore. Masks are worn by most, and those that don’t are a reminder of the division within our country. Hanging out with friends has proved to bring us joy, but also encourages the spread of this disease. Jobs have been lost. Colds are no longer just colds. Families are separated. People are dying.

But there is one connection that remains—nature. While we are losing the ability to go into work, interact with others and attend school properly, we are gaining the opportunity to interact with the nature around us. For many, nature has become solace despite everything.

Platte Basin Timelapse asked Platte River Basin creatives to share the solace they have discovered in the nature around them despite a pandemic.

This is what we found.
