Cheeseman Reservoir

LOOKING Closer

This camera watches Cheesman Reservoir, which is the result of Cheesman Dam. Construction of the dam began in 1898 and was completed in 1905. The dam stands 221 feet above the streambed and was once the world’s tallest dam. The dam collects mountain snow, which then is released into the South Platte River. This water is critical for the municipalities of the city of Denver.
