Jack Creek
LOOKING Closer
Jack Creek’s little side falls illustrate the widely varied nature of mountain streams that coalesce to form the North Platte. Jack Creek in this stretch is a rocky bottomed mountain stream dependent on snowmelt for most of its flow. It is a full rushing stream in the spring and can be a trickle in the summer. The little side creek shows on some topographic maps but has no name like hundreds of similar features in this region.
