Winter Park

LOOKING Closer

Located on a rooftop home at 9,000 feet in a housing development above Tabernash, Colorado, this camera looks towards Berthoud Pass and captures the cycle of the seasons and ever changing weather conditions and cloud formations west of the Continental Divide. Winter Park/Mary Jane Ski Area can be viewed in the distance. The ski resort has been in operation since 1939. Water is diverted from numerous creeks surrounding Winter Park Resort that would normally flow into the Colorado River through the Moffat Tunnel to the South Platte River, a major transbasin diversion that moves water from west slope to east slope underneath the Front Range to deliver water to the Denver metro and beyond.
